KUALA LUMPUR: Chief of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor urges the armed forces to manifest undivided loyalty to the Prime Minister, his leadership and the country, for all the benefits that the government has given to them.
Raja Mohamed Affandi said, the manifestation is in line with their oaths and promises to secure the sovereignty of the country.
“As the Chief and on behalf of the MAF staff, I would like to stress that we stand strongly behind the Prime Minister and his leadership to ensure the peacefulness and the prosperity of the country is being secured.
“Nobody could disturb or paint our faces with black charcoal. We are not going to allow what has been built so far be destroyed unnecessarily,” said Raja Mohamed Affandi.
The MAF Chief said that in his speech at the Regimental Dinner with MAF and RMP leaders and staff in the presence of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and Inspector General Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun and other dignitaries at Wisma Perwira on Friday evening.
Raja Mohamed Affandi added the dinner is special and very meaningful as it gathers two uniform families being the Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysia Police in the same event.
He said, the Prime Minister`s thoughtfulness speaking volumes of strong appreciation towards the MAF and RMP families “shows the great concern and how close the Prime Minister’s heart is to us”.
Meanwhile, Inspector General, Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun in his speech said, the close cooperation between RMP and MAF, has been built since the emergency period – fighting against communists’ threats.
He added the cooperation between the two security forces was very significant in the course of defending the sovereignty of the country during the Lahad Datu, Sabah invasion by outside elements.
“Today, the creative collaboration between RMP and MAF has brought great success to both teams and become more matured and professional. Now the two teams do not move “in silo” but go down to the open field and shoulder the responsibilities that we are entrusted together,” he added.
The cooperation through National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) between the two security forces, he said, is at a high level. They confront all types of situations that could threaten the security and sovereignty of Malaysia.
“We will hold strongly to our oaths that we will protect every inch of the country for the sake of the religion, national pride and sovereignty of the nation,” he said. – Malaysia World News
