Kuala Lumpur: The Chairman of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said: “PPBM does not have much money to face the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14) but we have high spirit”.
“With that spirit, we are confident that we will win in the GE,” he said.
Mahathir also claimed that some party leaders have been offered a lot of money to leave and support UMNO and Barisan Nasional.
“Not everybody can be bought over with money,” he said, citing that one of his party members suggested that he would join UMNO with one condition – if the money given to him be put into PPBM’s account.
Mahathir said that in his speech at the Official Launch of PPBM Setiawangsa on Sunday evening with the presence of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the party President, and other party leaders.
He also reminded that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the Barisan Nasional (BN) government can only be pulled down if all the four parties in Pakatan Harapan (PH) are united instead of competing with each other.
“Without a strong and effective party, it is impossible to bring down Najib from being the Prime Minister of Malaysia. It is the people’s responsibility to make it happen,” said Mahathir claiming the government under Najib has lost the respect from foreign countries as it has been marked for its high corruption cases.
He added, all members of PPBM and PH have to work hard to register the voters and make sure they come out to vote during the GE.-@Malaysia World News
