Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation conjoint to set business matching platform for 1Malaysia Entrepreneur (1MET)

PUTRAJAYA– The Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) 2016today witness a joint force between the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia. The two ministries conjoint to line up Business Matching Program and Business Model Bootcamp MCY2016 under the 1Malaysia Entrepreneur (1MET), an initiative by the National Entrepreneurship Development Office (NEDO) of the MOF.Present at the event today was Datuk Seri PanglimaMadiusTangau, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

“1MET for MCY2016 is a special edition of 1MET Bootcamps that receives an added touch by having MOSTI on board as the innovation and technology support in facilitating access to MOSTI’s agencies, services, facilities and technologies to entrepreneurs and groups of entrepreneurs through pre-program outreach and engagements. This special edition aims to facilitate the process for entrepreneurs who are still in the research stage towards starting-up their ideas”, said NadiraMohdYusoff, Chief Organiser for 1MET.

The program acts as a platform to match business partners, providing space for open discussions in discovering a better business prospect and ensuring the development of business models and business plans for commercialisation of technology transfer.

The 1MET for MCY2016 aspires to obtain an increase of 25%of technology transfer and commercialization in the effort towards creating a high impact and sustainable Blue Ocean Entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
