9 April, Kuching – Sarawak government would bar politicians and religious extremists, and bigots from entering the state, said Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem today after the Youth Forum opening ceremony.
“We not only ban opposition from entering the state but also religious extremists, and bigots,” he said.
He added, he does not want them to disturb or create hatred among Sarawakians in the state which has been the most peaceful state in the country despite its racial and religious diversity.
” There is nothing political about the ban. It is to maintain peace and racial harmony,”he mentioned this as yesterday Member of Parliament, DAP Kulai, Teo Nie Ching was stopped at Bintulu Airport and barred from entering the state.
Adenan also told reporters that the opposition party leaders such as DAP Adviser, Lim Kit Siang, and PKR President, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail would be banned from entering Sarawak as well. _malaysiaworldnews
