Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and three frontliners from Health Ministry, Dr Tan Yee Ling, Khairul Asraf Mohd Yasin and Sheilla Mellissa Sikinwere have also received their Covid-19 vaccine shots today, after the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
“This (National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme) is the beginning of the end of Covid-19 infections in the country,” said Noor Hisham, adding that the MOH would monitor all vaccine recipients via the MySejahtera application and any complications would be reported directly to them.
Noor Hisham also asks people to be not afraid of the vaccine as it has no side effects.
He told the media he did not experience any side effects after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine shot.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has launched the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme officially yesterday and he was the first to receive the vaccine shot.
