KUALA LUMPUR OCT 16: PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he only presented letters and documents to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV1 Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah on October 13 without mentioning names of the Members of Parliament (MP) supporting him to form a new government.

“What were certain 38 MPs from PKR had affirmed their support and I never mentioned names when I met His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” he said to the media after giving statements at the Police Headquarters Bukit Aman here Friday.

Anwar gave his statements to the police regarding the name list of Members of Parliament that were alleged supporting and giving a confident majority to him to form a new government.

Anwar said, there were six cases against him and all wanted the names of the MPs to be given to the police.

The Port Dickson MP added, it is his affairs with His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong and not the other people’s problems.

He also alleged the investigation on him was a “malicious and political harassment” as they wanted to know the names of MPs supporting and whether assurance had been given to him.

Anwar said, the police were satisfied with his explanation on the matter. The police had conducted the investigation with respect and cordial.

Earlier, Director of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the police had received more than 113 reports relating to the MPs support for Anwar.
