KUALA LUMPUR OCT.13: PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said hehas presented the list of convincing majority of Members of Parliament who support him to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah at Istana Negara this morning.
Anwar said, he has presented the list of MPs who support him as promised at the press conference held on 23rd September 2020.
“I appeal to the people (rakyat) and to all politicians regardless of political affiliations to be patient. We leave it to the wisdom of His Majesty to make a decision that will be in the best interest of our nation.
“I also thank the people for their patience and prayers. Now is not the time for celebrations. There are no winners or losers today. The real victory is when we are successful in making Malaysia a progressive, prosperous, fair and harmonious country for all the citizens.
“Let us work sincerely together to rebuild our beloved country. Now is not the time to spread false information and rumours,” Anwar said in a media statementvia his Facebook today.
The Port Dickson MP added, he humbly praised and thanked to Allah that despite all the challenges that he had faced, he had been given the strength, patience, and perseverance to continue to fight for this beloved nation.
“Lastly I pray that the COVID-19 pandemic can be defeated, all Malaysians are safe, and our economy recovers. I would like to request for everyone to stay calm and follow all the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the authorities so that we can overcome this pandemic,” he said.
Earlier Anwar who was driven in a Jaguar car arrived at the Istana Negara at 10.30am and came out at 11.30am after he had an audience with His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong today.-Malaysia World News
