PN govt continues to combat corruption, boost integrity, transparency – PM Muhyiddin

KUALA LUMPUR JULY 16: Ninety-seven percent of the Cabinet Ministers had declared the value of their properties to the government.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, in the declaration ethics procedure, the Cabinet Ministers have to declare their properties within three months after the notice was issued.

Muhyiddin replied to an additional question posed by Member of Parliament (MP) for Kulai, Teo Nee Ching at the question to minister session in Dewan Rakyat today.

Earlier, Beaufort MP, Datuk Azizah Mohd. Dun asked Muhyiddin about the commitment of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government in addressing integrity and corruption issues.

She said, the government now is seen to focus more on health issues relating to COVID-19 pandemic and economic recovery.

Muhyiddin said, on March 11, the government had stated its commitment to eliminate corruption, establish good governance and high integrity via the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) 2019-2023.

“This plan is formed to increase the efficiency and transparency following the principles of governance, integrity, and anti-corruption in the government administration,” said Muhyiddin in the second meeting, the third term of the 14th Parliamentary session today.

 He added NACP 2019-23 was formulated by taking into consideration the international charter report through the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).- Malaysia World News
