PETALING JAYA: As Malaysia’s Covid-19 outbreak has stabilised, Higher Education Ministry announced that all colleges and universities will reopen in October 2020.
Higher Education Minister, Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad said 30% of private colleges and universities can start returning from July.
Public higher educational institution students from first, second, third and fourth years, who need clinical, practical, workshop, labs, studios or special equipment, or those who will be sitting for professional examinations, and those who do not have access to the Internet are allowed to go back to their colleges or universities. Foreign students, including newly registered students, can also return to their campuses.
However, students are reminded to maintain social distancing and practice clean hygiene.
The institutes of higher learning must adhere to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, the National Security Council and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
All student activities or gathering must not be more than 250 participants. – Malaysia World News
