114 students, 15 teachers and 10 staff members tested positive for Covid-19 at a school in Cyberjaya

KUALA LUMPUR: 139 students and staff have been detected Covid-19 positive at Sekolah Seri Puteri in Cyberjaya, Sepang.

Selangor Health Director Datuk Dr Sha’ri Ngadiman said the number grew from 65 cases detected yesterday up to 139 cases today after testing of 946 individuals including teachers, students and staff from the same school.

“To date, 114 students, 15 teachers and 10 staff members are positive, bringing the total to 139. They have been referred to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre.

“Their close contacts will be placed at government quarantine stations. All 139 Covid-19 cases are in stable condition and are in Categories 1 and 2A (symptomatic but low risk),” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Dr Radzi Jidin has visited the SBP Sekolah Seri Puteri, Cyberjaya and confirmed that many students have been referred to MAEPS while some teachers have to undergo isolation at home.
