KUALA LUMPUR OCT.8: The concept and approach of Malaysian Family is not something difficult to digest as it is based on the existing values that every family possesses.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the government is harmonising and elevating the values as a guideline to stabilise the strength of Malaysia with its multi-religious, race and ethnic uniqueness.

Ismail added, all the Malaysian Family values are centred towards the nobility of the Federal Constitution like what has been stipulated in the Rukun Negara.

“It is just like a tree, the roots of the Malaysian Family will lean on the Federal Constitution and Rukun Negara, while the trunk and the branches will hold strongly the Malaysian Family values, and later produce the leaves, flowers and good fruits and the results will benefit the people. This is the metaphor of Malaysian Family,” Ismail said in his speech that was live telecasted on TV1 here today.

The Prime Minister delivered his speech in conjunction with the Pre-Launching of Malaysian Family held at Auditorium Perdana, Wisma Radio, Angkasapuri here today.

Meanwhile in conjunction with the event, the Prime Minister has also launched the Malaysian Family Squad that will be the coordinator of all mechanisms of the aid delivery for the people in need nationwide under one machinery.

“The Malaysian Family Squad will be headed by the Social Welfare Department under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. This is a collaboration of several agencies under different ministries, private sectors and non-governmental organisations (NGO).

“For this launching, 10,000 members of Malaysian Family Squad are ready to be mobilised nationwide to help the people that have been impacted by the pandemic. The numbers are expected to increase when more ministries, agencies and volunteers of Malaysian Family register themselves.

“On this meaningful day, I would like to remind again about our priority to combat the health and economic crisis without looking at who is affected. The national effort could only be achieved via instilling and defending the characteristics of inclusivity, common ground and contentment that we possessed,” Ismail reiterated.

The Prime Minister added, the economy should be recovered, the prosperity of the people should be raised and the investors’ confidence should be returned.

“Only through full cooperation from Malaysian Family the war against the COVID-19 will end with a victory. Hopefully, behind the face mask that has become the new norm in our lives, will return a smile of happiness in my beloved Malaysian Family,” Ismail said.- Malaysia World News
